BIAFRA: IPOB says they will not be intimidated.

The Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) has said that no amount of intimidation or harassment could make it jettison the fight for Biafra restoration.

  In a press statement issued on Monday by its Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, IPOB said that the Federal Government would not succeed in its efforts to scuttle the agitation as the people were passionate about the new republic.

“The Biafra project was ordained by God, and Biafra will be a country where people of Africa will benefit from technologically, economically, politically and spiritually,” he said.

The group wondered why the Department of State Services (DSS) failed to produce in court last Friday, its National Coordinator, Chidiebere Onwudiwe, who has been in detention since June 22.

It said that Onwudiwe who was arrested in his house in Port Harcourt had been held up in DSS cell since then.

IPOB therefore called for his immediate release since the DSS has failed to produce him in court for trial.
